M1 Garand

Single 4k Texture Set

For my last project of the year I modeled a game ready M1 Garand, my favorite WWII weapon, and I am really happy with how it turned out. My overall goal for the project was to make a game ready asset all on one texture set and keeping the poly count low but enough to maintain nice form and shape. For the Marmoset Viewer I used a MegaScans table to help set the scene a bit better.

For the wood and metal material on the gun I decided to use materials created by Stefan Engdahl, they are simply fantastic materials and I love the way they look on the rifle.
